In order to move forward and apply for your building permit, you must have an approved and released development permit, completed "Residential Improvement Project" application plan, two sets of dimentional plans with very specific inclusions (see link below) among many other items like:
- Elevation Drawings
- Cross Section Drawings
- Floor Plans...and...

Permits - When Do You Need Them?
You will need a Development Permit for any New Construction or Changes in Use such as a secondary suite. This is not a Building Permit – you will need one of those too.
