As an avid user of The Weaselhead at the west end of the Glenmore Reservoir, I have been on the hunt for solid concept designs for what is going to come with the SW portion of the Stoney Trail Ring Road.
Depending on which website you land on, you may find different concepts, however I found this one that looks like it may be the most reliable coming from Alberta Transportation.
(Stoney Trail / Sarcee Trail / 37th Street / Glenmore Trail Interchange)
You can see how the 37th Street and Glenmore Trail interchange is redesigned from the current (and temporary) roundabouts with tunnels connecting to the west side of WestHills Shopping Center. That actually would be handy.
(Stoney Trail going South - to the right - showing where it will cross Weaselhead)
I think for anyone who uses the park will not be happy with the noise pollution this is going to cause never mind the promotion of urban sprawl, however I do see both sides of the coin.
(From HWY 8 up to Bow Trail)
Here you can see the highway 8 interchange going north towards highway 1. This is the part of the ring road that I am most excited about for my own selfish reasons - getting up to the far nw portion of the city will be a fraction of the time it takes me currently. I doubt the home owners that back on to this will be more than unimpressed.

The purpose of me posting this is for you to see what the plans could be if they become reality. You can view more details on the following links:
What are your thoughts on this and the plans?
