Yay! Spring Clean up...but what do I do with all this yard waste?
Spring is finally here in Calgary! We finally had a beautiful weekend and there are more to come.
This means it is time to get the yard in order, clean up all the old leaves, branches and other organic puke that has fallen from the trees and shrubs over the past several months.

Did you know... The City of Calgary provides free sand/salt mix for your sidewalks?
Yes - I said free...everyone likes that word!
For the past several years I have been using the City of Calgary's free sand and salt box service for my home. Based on how many people I see out there using the purchased products, I'm guessing this is not common knowledge - so I'm sharing.

I finally cracked open the book, now it's routine.
A couple months ago a good friend of mine handed me a book she wrote. My first reaction that came to mind was “I’m not really interested in diving into a book right now”. And, really – at that specific moment in life I really struggled to relax for an hour at some point in a day to read a book.

Proposal of Secondary Suites in Calgary has drawn up a heated debate in our city hall, but has it in the public?
Relaxing the rules on secondary suites was being discussed by our Mayor Nenshi and Aldermen once again this past Monday. Nothing has come of the discussions aside from a couple Aldermen making statements like “unconstitutional” to allow suites everywhere by Ald. Richard Pootmans....

The Recommended Rules of Practice Respecting Real Property Reports was endorsed in April 2003 and is designed to reduce disagreements and discrepancies that can arise between lawyers when concerning the RPR's.
Useful information for Realtors for sure as we are dealing...
