You will see in the 10 year history, a variable rate is the better option for you, the consumer. If you look back at a 25 year history, you will see a similar trend. Aside from a few small blips,... Thursday, September 22, 2011 Great things discovered or happen by mistake.Microwave – discovered by accident when a scientist noticed his chocolate bar melted when walked past a radar tube. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 79% Support Secondary Suites in Calgary yet Council Opposes.Proposal of Secondary Suites in Calgary has drawn up a heated debate in our city hall, but has it in the public? Relaxing the rules on secondary suites was being discussed by our Mayor Nenshi and Aldermen once again this past Monday. Nothing has come of the discussions aside from a couple Aldermen making statements like “unconstitutional” to allow suites everywhere by Ald. Richard Pootmans.... Thursday, September 15, 2011 Recommended Rules of Practice Respecting RPR's - good read for Realtors in Alberta. This information is mainly for Realtors, however it also may be of interest to buyers and sellers when dealing with a home sale. The Recommended Rules of Practice Respecting Real Property Reports was endorsed in April 2003 and is designed to reduce disagreements and discrepancies that can arise between lawyers when concerning the RPR's. Thursday, September 15, 2011 Organizing Family Life with a Multitude of Calendars…it works.Categories:General Info I felt the need to share this bit of information - my wife and I have been using Google Calendars for quite some time now. Our kids are now at an age where we need to teach them about keeping an organized schedule. With the individual kids, two different schools, parents who work – one a regular schedule – myself, I’m working from home. Our schedules are all over the place and... Wednesday, September 14, 2011 Cleaning out my closet...or my garage...whatever...I’m ranting...Categories:Rants Sometimes I feel my garage is a rarity. Always stuff lying around, full of junk I don't need. It's not really a garage anymore. I'd say it's the 'staging' point for things I don’t want to deal with. Or, I have 'future' plans for an item. Or, I’m too lazy to put it in the recycling box. I’d post a picture but I’m too embarrassed. Seriously. I stand... Tuesday, September 13, 2011 National Bank refuses to fund mortgage because of "Big Screen TV"Here is an interesting bit of information for the home buyer and seller.
I was informed yesterday of the National Bank recently refusing to fund a mortgage for a buyer who they had approved for a purchase based on the purchase contract stating it included a “Big Screen TV”.
Their reasoning is there is no ‘value’ attached to this TV and would not mortgage it. Understandably... Thursday, September 8, 2011 New Website - Officially Launched!Categories:General Info,News Much like my blog post - I have been procrastinating the launch of my new website.
